Coach Williams has been at Union Academy since 2018. He grew up in West Virginia graduating from Huntington High School. While in high school, Coach Williams was a 2 time all conference and all state selection. Coach Williams attended West Virginia University Institute of Technology and was a four year starter and 3 time captain on the WVU Tech baseball team. He also won the Prospect League (college wood bat) championship in 2012 with the West Virginia Miners. Coach Williams has been actively involved in the athletic programs during his time at Union Academy (HS Baseball & Football, MS Basketball). Coach Williams has helped the Varsity Baseball team to the Final Four (2022), Elite Eight (2023), and Sweet Sixteen (2024). Coach Williams is married to his wife Sophia and they have a son William Grant Williams III also known as Tre. Cardinal Pride!
My name is Cameron Carpenter. I am from Rockingham, NC and attended Richmond Senior High. I am also a graduate of UNC Wilmington, where I completed my Bachelors degree in Athletic Training. I am a licensed and board certified Athletic Trainer through the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer examiners. I also have a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare. I have worked with a variety of demographics including collegiate athletics, pediatrics, and done lots of work in rural North Carolina. I joined UA's athletics staff in June 2021. If not on the sidelines of a game, I enjoy reading, playing with my pups, and running with my husband and our track club.
