I am Trent Faulkner, son, husband, father, educator and coach. God has blessed me with bringing into my life a beautiful woman, Marigrace. Since 1978, she has been my high school sweetheart and, even better, today, is my best friend. We have two beautiful children God blessed us with, Daniel and Madison. Graduating from Western Carolina University with a BS in Education, God has pointed me in the direction of serving parents and children through teaching and coaching since 1984. While at Western Carolina University, where I played 4 years of Division I varsity soccer, being a part of the Southern Conference. I have had the honor of serving others at Liberty Middle, Sun Valley Middle, Piedmont Open Middle, Piedmont High, Monroe High, Sun Valley High and finally, here at Union Academy Charter since 2013. My 41 years of teaching and 19 seasons soccer coaching career has carried me through Union County. The good lord had blessed me with the opportunity to compete in men’s leagues where we competed in tournaments and national championships for 30 years. The greatest thing about coaching has been the relationships and memories that were built with those players who are responsible for 17 playoff appearances out of 19 seasons, 4 quarter final appearances, 9 coach of the year and 4 regional coach of the year honors. I have spent the last 10 years officiating college and high school soccer and been blessed to have officiated 3 State Finals and 1 All Star game. I love teaching the game and the players who have played the game. They have done more for me than I could ever do for them! Looking forward to this season with the Cardinals!
