Team Information

Hey everyone!

We hope everyone has had a great start to the 25-26 school year. We are a long way from the Outdoor season but it will be here quicker than we know it!

Athletes interested in competing this spring should ensure they are taking care of their academics and community service requirements. Athletes who do not meet these requirements will not be allowed to participate. There is plenty of time and tons of opportunities!

Coaches

Philip Morris- Head Men's Coach

Coach Morris is from Roanoke, Virginia and graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. While at UNC, Coach Morris was a 4-year participant on the Men's Track and Field team. Coach Morris began at Union Academy during the 2021-22 year as a teacher in the High School Social Studies department and Head Varsity Track Coach. He enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family and playing sports. Coach Morris is excited for another year with the UA Track and Field team and is confident that there will be continued state championships won!

Ashley Grant- Head Women's Coach

Ashley Grant - Varsity Coed XC, Varsity Coed Indoor Track, Varsity Coed Track

Coach Grant has been coaching runners at UA for more than 10 years and high school runners for 13 years. During her time coaching at UA, Coach Grant has led both XC and Track (mid-distance & distance) athletes to medal in events at conference, region, and state levels. Coach Grant is an avid runner herself who loves the sport of running and the fact that it can be a lifelong sport. She is dedicated to fostering a positive team culture where athletes can reach their athletic goals as well as have fun!
