Eight Union Academy Seniors Sign to Continue Athletic and Academic Careers in College

Union Academy celebrated the achievements of eight standout student-athletes in a signing ceremony held at The Nest, the school’s high school gym. Family, friends, and community members filled the stands to honor these seniors, each of whom has earned the opportunity to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level. The athletes expressed heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support from coaches, teachers, teammates, and loved ones.

On November 13, Union Academy celebrated the achievements of eight standout student-athletes in a signing ceremony held at The Nest, the school’s high school gym. Family, friends, and community members filled the stands to honor these seniors, each of whom has earned the opportunity to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level. The athletes expressed heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support from coaches, teachers, teammates, and loved ones.

The following student-athletes signed their official letters of intent: 

  • Ranon Suttle - Basketball - Barry University
  • Carlie Granger - Softball - Roanoke College
  • Keira Farmer - Softball - Barton College
  • McKynzy Nash - Softball - Pfeiffer University
  • Paisley Boatright - Softball - Wingate University
  • Beckett Gurian - Baseball - UVA-Wise
  • Christian Pawl - Baseball - Milligan University
  • Evan Pardue - Track & Field - University of North Carolina

Each student took a moment to speak, sharing personal reflections on their journey and expressing appreciation for everyone who helped them reach this significant milestone. Union Academy is proud to see these talented Cardinals take flight and looks forward to cheering them on as they continue to excel both academically and athletically.

“These eight athletes have shown incredible dedication, not only to their sports but also to their academics and personal growth,” said Justin Frashier, Union Academy’s Athletic Director. “They’re outstanding students, competitors, and, most importantly, exceptional people. It’s been a privilege to watch them develop as players and leaders, representing Union Academy with pride and integrity. I’m excited to see all that they accomplish in college and beyond, and we’ll be cheering them on every step of the way.”
