Union Academy Track & Field Shines at 1A Midwest Regionals

Union Academy's Track & Field program delivered an outstanding performance at the 1A Midwest Regional Championships. The Women’s Team captured their second consecutive Regional Championship title, while the Men’s Team earned an impressive Runner-Up finish, demonstrating the program’s continued strength and depth.

Between both teams, Union Academy qualified 24 events for the upcoming 1A State Championships.

Regional Meet Highlights:

• 5 First-Place Finishes
   
• 7 Second-Place Finishes
   
• 6 Third-Place Finishes
   
• 6 Fourth-Place Finishes

Yadkin Valley Conference Honors:

• 14 Union Academy women were named to the All-Conference Team
   
• 9 Union Academy men were named to the All-Conference Team
   
• Brihanna Ashcraft and Abby Isaacs were honored as Co-Runners of the Year
   

“These student-athletes continue to raise the bar,” said Coach Phillip Morris. “Their work ethic and team-first mindset have been the key to our success this season. We’re proud of every athlete and excited for what’s ahead at the State Championships.”

The Cardinals now look ahead to the 1A State Championship meet, where both the women's and men's teams aim to finish their season strong.
